      GRE online exam equipment requirements-

If you have a desktop or a laptop with Windows installed, you’re good to go. Make sure you use Chrome or Firefox for browsing and install the ETS Test Browser on your system. This is the browser where the test will be taken. Once you’ve set up the ETS Test Browser, add the ProctorU extension to your browser and run a ProctorU System Check. Since you won’t be allowed to use headsets or earphones, make sure you have an internal or external microphone and speakers. An in-built camera or a webcam will also be needed so that you can show a 360-degree view of your room to the proctor. You can also use your phone camera to show your room.

Actually, most universities in Australia do not ask for a GRE score. GRE as an entrance qualification is usually asked in the US, UK, and Canadian universities. Most Australian universities ask for IELTS/TOEFL/PTE scores while applying for the university. So, if you want to skip the GRE exam it is not a big issue. You can apply by giving IELTS/TOEFL/PTE. Most Australian universities ask for a minimum of 6.5 or 7 bands in the IELTS exam. But I would suggest you should check what exactly the universities require and then prepare accordingly. Hope this answer helps! You can also check out this blog that tells you all about the universities for masters in Australia-

If you want to apply for the GRE exam then you should start preparing at least 3 months before your test date. If your score is less than what you have expected then you can apply again. You can give the GRE exam once every 21 days, and a total of 5 attempts are allowed in a 12 months period. GRE is conducted to analyze a student's aptitude and skills. GRE is both paper-based and computer-based. But most prefer computer-based. It has 4 sections with multiple questions to answer, some written, some verbal so, its better to prepare as early as possible. If you take your test now, your GRE scores are reportable for five years following your test date.
