      Which card should I take for my studies abroad, credit or debit card?

        Both the cards have their pros and cons. Let's look at the pros and cons for both the cards:

        Debit cards are the most preferred by students as it provides with limitations and you can keep track of how much you have spent on the daily basis. But the con is if the card is stolen or lost, then the money security options are very limited. You have to block the card and you are not sure how much you have lost till then.

        The credit card on the other hand, offers many benefits but, is a very big responsibility. It is hard to keep a track on the amount of expenditure and you may have to pay a big amount if not spent properly. But this problem can be solved by putting a spending limit. This will help you to stop any over expenditure you might have. Not only that, but credit cards also have a lot of benefits. For example, credit points will help you to get discounts on various places like shopping, air travel, etc. You can also build credit history which will help you in gaining loans in the future.

        So, if you're an international student abroad, opting for a credit card with a spending limit might be beneficial if you don't want to keep a lot of money invested in your debit card.
