Curricular Practical Training includes either part-time and full-time training.
If you are approved for part-time CPT, you are allowed to work up to 20 hours or less within a week.
If approved for full-time CPT, you will be allowed to work more than 20 hours per week. -
There are three types of Curricular Practical Training (CPT): required, elective, and optional. Required CPT is an integral part of the curriculum and necessary for degree completion. Elective CPT is an optional course or internship related to your field of study. Optional CPT is available during academic breaks and does not need to be directly related to your major.
