Indeed, IELTS is acknowledged by practically most of the Universities around the globe. Although, there are a few colleges in the USA that acknowledge just TOEFL, for example, Colorado State University, Columbia University, Cornell University, Duke University, and so forth. Most colleges acknowledge both TOEFL and IELTS ( Georgia State University, California Institute of Technology, Eastern Michigan University, Florida Institute of Technology, and so forth.) You should create a checklist of the colleges you want to enter and determine their qualification criteria before proceeding for your IELTS or TOEFL. -
It is quite popular. Better acceptance than TOEFL.
