The University of Nottingham is recognized as one of the UK’s largest, oldest, and most prestigious institutions. A member of the renowned Russell Group and Universitas 21, it is known for providing excellent, research-centric education. The university consists of five faculties: Arts, Medicine and Health Sciences, Science, Engineering and Social Sciences. The university also has two student theatre companies and substantial community relationships. In 1970, the university founded the UK’s first 20th-century Medical School.

The University of Nottingham has offices worldwide, having established its first overseas campus in Malaysia in 2000 and the next campus in China in 2004. The university alumni have been awarded several awards, including Nobel Prizes, Turner Prize, Gabor Medal, and a Fields Medal.
