About

Founded in 1908, the University of Alberta is a public institution located in the province of Alberta in Western Canada. It University of Alberta was founded by Alexander Rutherford, the first premier of Alberta. This university is the only one in Canada that offers exclusive programs in native studies. Students can learn about various cultures through these studies, including language, history, and more. One of the famous programs offered by the university includes Palaeontology research, and its faculty are experts in their field. 

The university is home to world-leading facilities such as Canada’s National Institute for Nanotechnology and the Li Ka Shing Institute of Virology. Besides, it has over 400 research, teaching, and exchange agreements with colleges and other organizations around the world, including the University of Munich in Germany and the University of Western Australia.

The University of Alberta has five campuses. Four of these campuses are in Edmonton, including the main North Campus. The Augustana Campus is located roughly an hour away from Edmonton in the rural City of Camrose. Additionally, the student per staff ratio of the university is 21:9. The alumni of this university include over 260,000 founders of organizations worldwide.

In order to submit your application, you must submit an application fee of either CAD $125 application fee (for new applicants to the University of Alberta or CAD $75 (for current or previous University of Alberta students). This application fee is non-refundable. Please note: the application fee varies for professional program applications, please check their website for more information.
