With more than 80 nationally ranked academic programs, students can choose their desired career and pursue world-class education at Rowan University. They are taught in small classes by faculty who are engaged with their students, connected in their fields, and invested in student achievement.
With over 60 programs to choose from, graduate students at Rowan University are given the option to pursue scholarly opportunities and career development through rich and rewarding educational experiences.
Why Rowan University?
Rowan University has evolved from its humble beginning in 1923 as a regular school with a mission to train teachers for South Jersey classrooms to a comprehensive public research university with a strong regional reputation. Today, Rowan has approximately 18,000 students who can select from 74 bachelor’s, 51 master’s, four doctoral degrees, and two professional (medical) degree programs— along with undergraduate and post-baccalaureate certificates—in colleges and schools across four campuses.
Rowan University has 18 sports teams, which include eight men’s and ten women’s. Renowned as ‘The Profs, ‘ the university’s teams have made their name at the national level. With its state-of-the-art infrastructure and support, Rowan has created an athletics heaven for its students.
There are numerous residence halls and apartment communities nestled among the trees of a 200-acre campus in historic Glassboro, New Jersey. University and affiliated residences provide easy access to campus resources, recreational facilities and social opportunities.
From student health services to routine counseling services, Rowan leaves no stone unturned to help with the mental, physical, and emotional well being of its students.
Get involved
Joining a club is an excellent way to get to know other students and feel more at home on campus. It’s an opportunity to expand on a personal interest. And it can often be a resume booster – which is a nice bonus. UoS offers more than 200 clubs and organizations covering everything from robotics to Animal Welfare.
