Scholarship Overview

Kent State University offers the Global Scholarship. Every semester, the International Students Office of Kent State University awards scholarships to degree-seeking students who have specified financial needs. Note that a large portion of the scholarship funds come from International student tuition. Global Scholarship is applicable for Bachelors Degree and Masters Degree. The award is applicable for the courses like Journalism – B.S.,Business Analytics – M.S.,Business Management – B.B.A.,Biotechnology – B.S.,BBA in Finance,B.S. Computer Science,Aerospace Engineering – B.S.,Architecture – B.S.,BBA-Computer Information System,Engineering Technology – B.S.,Construction Management – B.S.,Digital Sciences, B.S.,Biology – B.A.,Physics – B.S.,Psychology – B.S.,BA Sociology. If we consider the amount of the Global Scholarship, then it varies each semester. The applicants should review the scholarship application in order to fully understand the availability and amount for that particular semester. To be eligible for this scholarship students must have appeared for 12th grade. Foreign students wishing to apply for this scholarship must take English proficiency exams such as TOEFL, IELTS and PTE. Scholarship amount details

  • The Global Scholarship grants each eligible undergraduate freshman or transfer student $4,000 per year ($2,000 per semester), reducing the cost of a Kent State 4-year undergraduate degree by up to $16,000
  • Incoming freshmen students may receive the Global Scholarship for a total of eight semesters
  • Awarded students simply need to maintain continuous full-time enrollment and good academic standing to automatically renew the scholarship each year

Conversion rate used: 1 USD = Rs. 83.20 (last updated 7th December 2023).

Scholarship Eligibility

  • Applicants should meet the minimum requirement of GPA ≥ 2.5 on a U.S. 4.0 scale for all bachelor’s programs except Aerospace Engineering – B.S. and Architecture – B.S.
  • Aerospace Engineering – B.S. and Architecture – B.S.: Require at least a 3.0 cumulative high school grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) and demonstrate competency in Math to be placed into Calculus I or beyond.
  • The following applicants are eligible:
    • An incoming undergraduate International student.
    • Freshman, transfer, ESL only, and visiting students are eligible for the Global Scholarship.
    • Graduate and current students are not eligible.
    • In-state resident students are not eligible for the Global Scholarship.
    • Only those students attending the Kent campus are eligible to receive the Global Scholarship.

Special Restrictions: No Special Restriction is applicable.
