Scholarship Overview

IESO Undergraduate Engineering Award is a type of scholarship whichis offered at University of Waterloo to those international students who are pursuing a Bachelors Degree. This is a Merit Based Scholarship, which is provided to only single student. IESO Undergraduate Engineering Award are valued at CAD 4000 for single student who qualify from University of Waterloo. Also, the IESO Undergraduate Engineering Award is a one time tuition reducing scholarship, offered in the first year of Bachelors Degree only. Applications for IESO Undergraduate Engineering Award at University of Waterloo are filed separately. Bachelor degree is required for applicants to be eligible for this scholarship. In order to apply for the scholarship, students need the following documents: CV and Extra Curricular Activities. Along with the IESO Undergraduate Engineering Award application. The eligibility of the students to qualify for IESO Undergraduate Engineering Award would solely depend on the applicant’s admission to University of Waterloo Bachelors Degree, his/her aptitude for an overall contribution towards University of Waterloo community and of course the academic achievements.

Scholarship amount details

IESO may also offer the award recipient consideration for a work-term position at their offices upon completion of Year Two and if accepted she will have to be eligible to work in Canada.

Scholarship Eligibility

  • Applicant must be enrolled in 2nd year of Bachelor degree
  • Students will have demonstrated strong communication skills, leadership skills, involvement in extracurricular activities, and will have maintained a minimum B average (75%) in 1A and 1B
  • Must be eligible to work in Canada
