Appication Process for this scholarship

Step 1: Applicants must complete the online scholarship application.
Step 2: The application form includes three essay prompts, each requiring a 250-word response. These essays aim to assess the candidate’s suitability for the scholarship and their potential contributions to Scotland’s higher education landscape. The essay questions are as follows:

  • The reasons for choosing Scotland and the particular institution and program for education.
  • Explain how Saltire Scholarships can help the candidate in the future and how the candidate can help in promoting Scotland for higher education.
  • Explain the experience and skills possessed by the applicant in communication (both written and presentation) and while working with others.

Scholarship Eligibility

The applicant must be:

  • first-time applicant.
  • a citizen of India, Pakistan, Japan, China (including HongKong), Canada, or the USA.
  • enrolled in a postgraduate degree at a Scottish University.
  • enrolled in area of Science, Medical Science, Technology, Healthcare, Renewable & Clean Energy, or Creative Industries.
  • As this scholarship will only cover the tuition fees, the applicant must show a financial statement proving his/her ability to fund their stay in Scotland.
  • Received a conditional or non-conditional offer letter from any Scottish university.
  • The applicants must provide the reasons for studying in Scotland and the proposed benefits of the course chosen by him/her.
  • Presentation of the leadership qualities that will enable them to use the studied course effectively for the betterment of career and community.
