This is a Merit Based Scholarship, which is provided to only maximum number of students, depending on the University student. Vice-Chancellor International Scholarships Scheme are valued at AUD 40000 for maximum number of students, depending on the University student who qualify from The University of Sydney. Also, the Vice-Chancellor International Scholarships Scheme is a one time tuition reducing scholarship, offered in the first year of Bachelors Degree only. Additional Information: Four scholarship amounts are offered based on the ranking against the selection criteria:

  • $40,000 payable for one year in two equal installments per semester
  • $20,000 payable for one semester
  • $10,000 payable for one semester
  • $5,000 payable for one semester

Scholarship Eligibility

  • Applicants must hold any one of the following:
    • Bachelor’s degree or graduate diploma/certificate from a recognized tertiary institution with a minimum credit 65 per cent average OR
    • An equivalent of an Australian bachelor’s degree or higher with less than a credit average (minimum 50 per cent required), and satisfactory performance in the GMAT (for guidance, the class average score is 630) or equivalent Business School approved admissions test
  • Must satisfy the English language proficiency requirement by submitting one of the following tests:
    • IELTS- Overall score of 7, with a minimum score of 6.0 in each band
    • TOEFL- Overall score of 96, with a minimum of 17 in reading, listening, and speaking, and 19 in writing
    • PTE- Overall score of 68
  • Must be enrolled for a CRICOS registered program of study at the University in any postgraduate coursework degree program
  • To continue receipt of the Scholarship, the student must maintain a minimum semester average mark of 65 and have no outstanding tuition fees
  • Must be willing to promote the program in which they are enrolled as well as represent the University of Sydney at student orientation, marketing events, and corporate networking events
  • Must complete a Selection interview
