Scholarship Eligibility

Applicants:

  • Master of Digital Communication and Culture (1.5 years full-time) requires:
    • a bachelor’s degree with a minimum credit (65%) average calculated over the whole degree, including a major in a relevant subject area in the humanities or social sciences, from the University of Sydney, or an equivalent qualification
  • Master of Digital Communication and Culture (1 year full-time) requires:
  • completion of the embedded Graduate Certificate or Graduate Diploma in Digital Communication and Culture with a minimum credit (65%) average, or an equivalent qualification; or
  • an Honours degree in a relevant discipline; or
  • relevant professional work experience and a bachelor’s degree with a minimum credit (65%) average or an equivalent qualification.
  • must satisfy the English language proficiency requirement by submitting one of the following tests:
    • IELTS- Overall score of 7, with a minimum score of 6.0 in each band
    • TOEFL- Overall score of 96, with a minimum of 17 in reading, listening and speaking and 19 in writing
    • PTE- Overall score of 68
  • Must have applied for but not yet commenced a bachelor’s degree or a coursework master’s degree that is a CRICOS registered award program usually delivered onshore at the University of Sydney
  • must be willing to promote the program in which they are enrolled as well as represent the University of Sydney at student orientation, marketing events and corporate networking events

Preference will be given to following candidates:

  • The Scholarship will be awarded on the basis of academic merit as assessed from a student’s application for admission to an undergraduate or postgraduate coursework degree.
  • The Scholarship will be awarded on the nomination of a selection committee consisting of two nominees of the Executive Director, Sydney Future Students and one nominee of the Admissions Office.
