Language Test in Denmark
-
Could you tell me something about the language test for the Denmark student visa?
-
Hey Aarti!
Many Danish university programs are in English and require a high level of English proficiency. Therefore, applicants to English-based undergraduate and postgraduate programs must demonstrate English ability equivalent to ‘English B’ in the Danish upper secondary school system. Some programs might demand ‘English A,’ based on the requirements of the course.
To demonstrate English competence, you must have secured the minimum grades required to pass international language exams, such as the TOEFL, IELTS, and Cambridge ESOL (CAE)
If you want to pursue a degree in Danish, you must pass the ‘Danish as a Foreign Language’ test (Studieproven I Dansk som andetsprog) or the ‘Danish Test 2’ (Danskprove 2) to demonstrate your competency in Danish. Some programs may need you to complete the ‘Danish Test 3’ (Danskprove 3).
