What is the ACT exam pattern?
-
How different is it from SAT?
-
The ACT exam is divided into four different sections –
- English
- Mathematics
- Reading, and
- Science
– and lasts for 3 hours.
You can also opt to attempt a fifth section, the Writing Test, which lasts for another 40 minutes, bringing the total ACT exam time to 3 hours and 40 minutes.
-
SAT vs ACT-
- ACT does not have a Science section
- ACT is more knowledge-oriented
- SAT is more towards assessing students' analytical skills
Since it's easier, ACT has more questions than SAT, overall
