Speaking and Writing (54-67 minutes)

As the name implies, this component assesses the candidates' communication skills, specifically their verbal and written skills. This component is divided into six separate pieces that assess your promptness in speaking and writing the written test, which you will read for the first time. PTE Academic Listening Format: The listening section of the PTE Academic lasts 30 to 43 minutes. This section is meant to test the candidate's ability to hear spoken English. The learner must ensure that they closely listen to the audio file being played and retain what they hear. This portion is broken into eight segments, with each segment receiving the following amount of time:
