Maximum Grant Amount

The maximum funding given by iSchoolConnect to 5 individual students is

USD 10,000
  • Each individual is allowed only one entry per year.
  • While applying for the iSchoolConnect Scholarship, candidates must show evidence that they can cover the rest of their study abroad expenses (shared separately).
  • Applicants must also submit proof that they meet the eligibility requirements demanded by the iSchoolConnect Scholarship.
  • This evidence of additional funding must be shown during the online interview as well (shared separately).
  • Awardees have to make sure that they study at an educational institution abroad which is accredited by an authorized body of that country.
  • Entrants must not be citizens of the country they are planning to study in.
  • Scholarships will be awarded on 1st May so students may start their course in September or October 2022.
  • Awardees should provide evidence of unconditional acceptance on the course and university before the scholarship’s commencement on the first of May.
  • Any scholarship not commenced within 6 months of being granted will be forfeited.
  • The funds should only be used to cover tuition expenses.
  • The perks of the scholarship, including flight tickets and iSchoolConnect services, cannot be sold, returned, or exchanged.
  • Any changes in your study abroad plans (like deference) must be informed to and approved by iSchoolConnect.
  • In case the awardee is not able to finish the course, the scholarship will be forfeited.
  • Information collected from the entrants in connection with the iSchoolConnect scholarship is subject to iSchoolConnect’s Privacy Policy.

In case of unforeseen events (like COVID-19), the scholarship will be extended by a year, and the perks will be revised at the discretion of iSchoolConnect.

To be eligible to apply, applicants must:

  • Have a high school degree or equivalent, unless you are currently a high school senior applying to university.
  • Be currently enrolled as an undergraduate or graduate student at a university for the 2021-2022 academic year OR currently enrolled as a high school senior intending to enroll full-time at a university in the United States, Canada, the UK, Germany, Ireland, Australia, Switzerland, New Zealand, Singapore, or the Netherlands for the 2022-2023 academic year.
  • Intend to be enrolled in or accepted as a full-time student in a relevant Bachelors or Masters program at an accredited university in the United States, Canada, the UK, Germany, Ireland, Australia, Switzerland, New Zealand, Singapore, or the Netherlands for the 2022-2023 academic year.
  • Not be looking to secure a Medical Degree, a Ph.D., or a certification/diploma abroad.
  • Have submitted or are in the process of submitting their university applications for the program they want to apply to.
  • Demonstrate a strong academic record in a relevant course at a recognized institution.
  • Have a good score in GRE or GMAT, and TOEFL or IELTS.
  • Be eligible to apply at a top-ranking institution for the chosen field of study.
  • Demonstrate leadership qualities and a record of service in the public community.
  • Not have received the iSchoolConnect Scholarship previously.

Employees of iSchoolConnect are not eligible for the iSchoolConnect scholarship.

  • First, register for the iSchoolConnect Scholarship and create an account by filling out a few essential details, including your name, phone number, and your email address.
  • Fill out the application form and upload all the relevant documents mentioned in it. These will include your-
  1. Resume
  2. Academic records (10th, 12th, and degree transcripts)
  3. Test scores
  4. Statement of Purpose
  5. Two Letters of Recommendation
  6. Details about which programs you have applied to
  7. Information about other scholarships received for all these courses, and
  8. Evidence that you can cover the rest of the study abroad expenses
  • In case you have applied to study architecture, fine or applied arts, acting, music, or another such field, make sure you also upload your portfolio.
  • After you have updated all the information, submit your application before the designated deadline.
  • At this point, all applicants will have the opportunity to consult with the iSchoolConnect experts about their study abroad plans
  • Once shortlisted, you will be informed about the date and time of your online interview by the mid of April 2022.
  • Towards the end of April, 5 students will be chosen for the iSchoolConnect Scholarship on the basis of their merit and their passion to use their knowledge for driving change in the society. They will receive the scholarship amount given that they fulfill the terms and conditions of the scholarship.
  • 100 worthy students will be offered iSchoolConnect’s Essential services.
  • The flight tickets will be provided to 10 students, not including the 5 winners, one month before they have to fly, given that they fulfill the terms and conditions of the scholarship.

An independent committee will carry out the selection process. Each application profile will be evaluated in terms of-

  • Motivation for study and research in the field of interest
  • Quality and feasibility of the proposed plan of study
  • Potential as a change-maker
  • Likelihood to succeed in a foreign academic environment
  • Demonstrated evidence of leadership and civic service
  • Communication abilities
  • Financial need, and
  • Performance at the online interview

Q – I have not yet given my study abroad tests but I am planning to study abroad in 2022. Am I eligible?

A – Yes. You can start filling your iSchoolConnect Application form right away. You have until the 28th of February 2022 to submit it. Make sure you take your tests by then and share your scores on the scholarship application form. A delay in submission won’t affect your chances of getting the scholarship.

 

Q – I will graduate in March 2022. Can I apply?

A – Yes. As long as you are applying to start your education in the year 2022-23, you can apply.

 

Q – How much reward will one individual get?

A – Each one of the top 5 students will be awarded 2000 US dollars. Moreover, students ranking 6th to 15th will receive one-way flight tickets to their study-abroad destination.

 

Q – How will you select the winner of the scholarship?

A – The scholarship awarding committee will look at the following points while considering your scholarship application-

  • Motivation for study and research in the field of interest
  • Quality and feasibility of the proposed plan of study
  • Potential as a change-maker
  • Likelihood to succeed in a foreign academic environment
  • Demonstrated evidence of leadership and civic service
  • Communication abilities
  • Financial need, and
  • Performance at the online interview

 

Q – I am applying to China. Am I eligible?

A – No. Only those who want to study in the United States, Canada, the UK, Germany, Ireland, Australia, Switzerland, New Zealand, Singapore, or the Netherlands are eligible.

 

Q – I don’t have a passport. Can I apply?

A – Uploading a copy of your passport is compulsory for finishing the application form. There’s no rush since the application deadline is 28th February. But it is recommended that you get your passport well in advance.

 

Q – What type of expense will this scholarship cover?

A – The grant amount will only cover your tuition expenses or a one-way flight ticket.

 

Q – How will the amount be shared if I am selected?

A – It will be shared via a Direct Transfer to your account.

 

Q – What documents do I need to submit?

A – Here’s a list of the documents needed for the application form-

Q – I will graduate in March 2022 but I will get my mark sheet in June 2022. Can I apply?

A – Yes. As long as you are applying to start your education in the year 2022-23, you can apply. But make sure to submit your previous mark sheets in the application form.

 

Q – I will finish 12th grade in May 2022 and don’t have my mark sheets. How can I apply?

A – Instead of 12th mark sheets, submit the scores of your preliminary exams while filling the application form.

 

Q – I want to pursue a Ph.D. in Economics. Can I apply?

A – No. Students looking to do a Ph.D. are not eligible.

 

Q – I’d gotten my admission letter from a university abroad, but due to COVID-19, I had deferred my admission to the next intake. Am I eligible?

A – Yes. As long as you are starting your education in the year 2022-23, you can apply. But make sure to tell us about what you did in the past year.

 

Q – I am a working professional, applying for MBA in Fall 2022 intake. Am I eligible?

A – Yes. Don’t forget to talk about your Work Experience in the application form!
