Founded in 1967, Algonquin College results from the union of the Eastern Ontario Institute of Technology and the Ontario Vocational Centre. The college's mission is to transform students' hopes and dreams into success stories. Algonquin College frequently ranks as one of the top research colleges in the country, determined to deliver quality education. The college was named after the First Nations People who lived in the area.
The institute partners with some renowned organizations and universities and offers something for everyone under a single roof. Algonquin College operates on three campuses situated in Ottawa, Pembroke, and Perth. The Ottawa campus is the college's primary campus, and it is one of the first Ontario colleges to get accredited by CEWIL, Canada. Algonquin has four international campuses located in India, Kuwait, Montenegro, and China.

An Honours degree is awarded to the students who complete the program requirements with a minimum GPA of 3.6. The student’s academic record is permanent after graduation, including the GPA.
Algonquin College’s plan for the Winter semester is continuously evolving. The programs will be offered in Virtual, On-Campus, and Hybrid modes.
Algonquin College usually takes 3-5 business days to send offer letters to the students after applying for the same beforehand.
