Queen's University is among Canada's oldest universities, located in Kingston, Ontario. It was established in honor of Queen Victoria by the Royal Charter in 1841. About
Students who complete the program will receive a graduate-level certificate in Geographic Information Science. Their transcript will list the courses and grades received to complete the program. The certificate is complementary to a wide variety of graduate programs and is available as a standalone certificate. However, credits obtained from the certificate may be applied toward a graduate degree. The geographic Information Science (GIS) certificate is designed for graduate students or professionals wanting skills and experience applying industry-standard GIS and remote sensing tools to natural resource issues.

Non-Canadian students planning to study in Canada for more than six months will have to apply for a study permit, and it should be done online as soon as the candidate receives the acceptance letter.
To recognize the students' additional efforts and academic excellence, Queen's University offers a range of scholarships to students in the first year of any undergraduate program of study.
Tests required by Queen's University are optional. SAT and ACT results will be considered if offered, but it is not mandatory to submit SAT scores.
