This course combines the creative and the critical, the personal and the social, the historical and the contemporary. In the School of English, this will be taught by respected academics and practitirs offering a diverse range of modules in literary studies, linguistics, creative writing, and drama. The program offers concentrations leading to Literature, Creative Writing, and Secondary Education. The skills a student develops as an English major, such as writing, editing, problem-solving, critical thinking, and analysis, are highly prized by employers in nearly every profession. Eligibility Requirements:

To be eligible to graduate from this program students must complete five ABE courses. Normally, at least three of these courses would be taken at VIU (or another post-secondary institution), and at least one of these courses MUST be taken at VIU in order for students to be eligible for the BCAGD offered through VIU.
