About

The University of Regina, structured in 1974, is noted for its experiential learning programs, including internships, professional placements, practicums, as well as cooperative education placements. It originated out of Regina College, founded in 1911. Situated in Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada, the main campus of The University of Regina is ‌on the shores of Wascana Lake, towards southeast Regina, just off the Ring Road at the corner of Wascana Parkway and Kramer Boulevard.

 

Campion College, First Nations University of Canada, and Luther College are three federated colleges. Campion College, like Regina College, became a junior college of the University of Saskatchewan in 1923, and Luther College moved to the new Regina Campus in 1971. The Saskatchewan Indian Federated College, founded in 1976, gave birth to the First Nations University of Canada. The institution provides over 120 undergraduate programs and 78 graduate degrees in arts, science, social work, education, and business administration.

 

The University of Regina has produced many notable alumni, including Akiem Hicks (American footballer), John Hewson (Australian politician), Jonathan Denis (Canadian Politician), Robert Boyer (visual artist), Elizabeth Raum (music composer).
