About

The interdisciplinary masters programme teaches students skills in the different areas of art mediation and cultural management. In addition to a systematic knowledge of the fundamentals of art history and business administration theory, students acquire an extensive theoretical and practical knowledge of an entrepreneurial approach and learn and test arts concepts of mediation in museums and art dealing. The main pillars of the programme are the cross-faculty approach to the course offering and the strategic collaboration with a large number of cooperation partners outside of the university from the diverse field of arts and culture in the Rhine and Ruhr regions. Alongside a core group of full-time lecturers, the masters programme also features alternating high-profile assistant lecturers from the national and international arts and culture scene. In addition to the varied teaching offering at the university, regular public presentations, conferences and discussions are held that relate to and expand on the content of the programme.

Eligibility Requirements:

The prerequisite for admission to the Master's programme is the completion of a relevant Bachelor's programme at a German university with a grade of 2.3 or better. Degrees obtained at foreign universities can be recognised after all documents have been submitted.
