This course in Architecture - Urban Regeneration, in line with the qualifying educational objectives of the LM-4 class, aims to provide an answer to the need for a new fully-fledged architect profile, in cultural terms. and professional, and not merely formal, in the European context, a context in which the issues of urban regeneration undoubtedly play a role of particular relevance, as also made evident in the face of the main issues identified in the European and international urban agenda, as well as, more recently, also in the National Urban Agenda under definition. An architect trained to investigate, configure and support urban regeneration processes, dedicated to the project as research and as a process of continuous experimentation; capable of providing adequate responses to the regeneration processes of the contemporary city at all scales and in an integrated way, combining complexity to restore perspectives of social equity, well-being and inclusion, of ecological quality, of historical-environmental sustainability, effectiveness and efficiency in the use of resources.
