Architecture education consists of courses where the students practice architectural design in project form in various ways - everything from the importance of details, building structures, indoor climate and energy management, to the structure of entire neighborhoods and its impact on people's health and well-being and the environment. Students will read more theoretical and technical courses and work exploratively with physical and digital models in the workshops, studios and computer labs.

Architecture and planning beyond sustainability, MSc programme focuses on methods and design approaches for understanding and analysing different local contexts in order to propose adequate solutions in designing for a sustainable future. This approach challenges and develops the ability to analyse and situate local situations in relation to broader contexts. Design studios contain experience-based learning, fieldwork, tailored lectures, literature studies, seminars, workshops, design project work, and exhibitions.

The Architecture and technology program is aimed at those who are interested in mathematics and technology as well as design and architecture. Subject-wise courses are continuously woven together with the shaping projects of the architectural educations. The aim of the architecture projects is to train an investigative, creative and reflective approach based on both a technical/natural science and an aesthetic/humanistic basis. The students train their ability to perceive and adapt to the needs of people, businesses and societies. And also develop the ability to design buildings and communicate their characteristics and qualities.
