This course teaches students a basic and clear understanding of the functions of every division in a company, be it in marketing, finance, operations, human resources, and office management. This strand provides the basic concepts of business and financial management, and corporate operations that will be helpful for college. Subjects include economics, statistics, accounting, marketing, management and organization, business communication, and entrepreneurship.

This course has a unique curriculum, which incorporates a specialized approach for each of the academic years of study, is recognized for its innovation in emphasizing disciplinary depth and interdisciplinary opportunities. Students will work in state-of-the-art facilities, they will be provided with individual studios in their senior year, and they will enjoy the benefits of entering a partially state-funded art program in a private university setting.

This course is based on a curriculum historically developed in conjunction with the studio Bachelor of Fine Arts and Master of Fine Arts programs at Alfred University. It is designed to encourage students to develop an understanding of artistic developments in the western and global historical contexts, to provide them with the critical and theoretical tools necessary to pursue a career as an art professional.
