The main campus is located in West Lafayette, Indiana, on a 1,000-acre site and serves approximately 49,000 students. Purdue University is considered a moderately selective institution. The admissions process considers various factors, including academic performance, test scores, and extracurricular activities. Purdue certainly values academic success. However, a Purdue acceptance is absolutely achievable. The average SAT score required ranges from 1630 to 1950, and the average ACT score is between 25 and 31. In addition, 80% of admittees fell within the top quarter of their graduating class, with an average GPA between 3.5 and 4.0.

Not only for Computer Science but for nearly any major. In terms of CS, it is ranked #20 in the United States. Purdue's expertise is imparted through hands-on learning and application to the industry, implying that students will gain real-world experience while in college. This will assist them in acquiring high-paying jobs immediately after graduating, which is essentially the desire of most students.
Additionally, their bridge program is a two-week summer course that will help students speed up programming. They also have a great student support system. Companies like Cisco, Amazon, Microsoft and Google are always there. Employers regard the CS program as preparing students well for real-world programming environments.
