Rochester Institute of Technology was founded in 1829. The university is the tenth-largest private university in the United States. Situated in Rochester, USA, the main campus of Rochester Institute of Technology is spread across 1,300 acres in New York's third-largest city, suburban Rochester. It also has campuses located in Dubai, Croatia (Dubrovnik), Croatia (Zagreb), Kosovo (Pristina), and China (Weihai). 

Rochester Institute of Technology has more than 200 academic programs, including seven doctoral programs across its nine constituent colleges. In 2008–2009, RIT awarded 2,483 bachelor's degrees, 912 master's degrees, ten doctorates, and 523 other certificates and diplomas. The university is known for offering some best courses in Science, Computer, Engineering, and Art. Besides, its National Technical Institute for the Deaf is recognized worldwide.
