This degree includes study of all functional areas of accounting including financial, managerial, cost, auditing, federal income tax and accounting information systems. Graduates of the program are fully prepared to enter accounting careers in the corporate, governmental and not-for-profit areas. Students also progress through a series of courses in core business areas such as accounting, management, marketing and finance.

This program is generally responsible for creating, analyzing, and communicating financial information for companies, organizations, individual clients, and government agencies. Accurate recording and reporting of financial data and business transactions comprise a major portion of an accountant’s workday. The program provides students with technical accounting knowledge and the ability to analyze problems, communicate solutions, interact with colleagues, and successfully handle ethical issues appropriate for staff-level positions.

The degree prepared advanced practice nurses is intended to prepare individuals at the most advanced level of nursing practice. Graduates are educated to effectively advance the management of individuals, families and the population and improve the safety and quality of patient care. This program of study requires mentored practicum experiences with experts from nursing as well as other disciplines engaging students in the roles of advanced practice nursing in a variety of practice settings.
