The program provides advanced, specialized training in accounting and tax accounting. Students master accounting concepts and financial analysis while sharpening their analytical thinking and communication skills. They analyze and prepare tax forms and statements for businesses while managing assets, including stocks, bonds, real estate, and derivative securities. Students are also taught about the advising approach in raising and investing money, capital structuring, and capital budgeting while they learn to perform audits of various industries and businesses.

Students are offered the opportunity to experience a holistic approach to the study of food and fiber production and their association and interaction with societal concerns. The curriculum builds upon a solid foundation in basic agricultural concepts along with advanced focus courses preparing students for entry-level positions in business, agriculture production, or government settings where a multidisciplinary, problem-solving approach is useful.

The program offers a concentrated study that is sensitive to the needs of students and ensures well-organized, coherent programs that provide opportunities for synthesis and integration. Students assimilate the knowledge delivered within the program and develop the capacity to focus on methods of inquiry and analysis that enables them to use that knowledge.
