Applicants are required to submit:

  • a personal statement (300 words)
  • two references who can comment on your community engagement and/or leadership capacity
  • a completed application to study at Deakin including academic transcripts
  • personal statement must be written by you and reflect your personal views It should contain:
    • an outline of why you want to study at Deakin University
    • an overview of any extracurricular activities and work experience (paid or voluntary) you have undertaken
    • why you think you would make an outstanding ambassador for Deakin University
    • any other information that will assist your application
  • Applicants may also be asked to attend an interview

Scholarship Eligibility

The applicant must have

  • more than 85% or equivalent in the 12th Indian Board Examinations/ IB / GCSE
  • significant achievements in co-curricular activities
  • demonstration of commitment to give back to society, the knowledge and experience
  • IELTS: With no band score less than 6
  • PTE: With no less than 50 in each skill
  • TOEFL: With 21 in the writing section
  • Applicants may also be asked to attend an interview Skype / Zoom interview with top 25 to 50 and face-to-face interviews with the top 5 to 10 candidates with an external panel of judges
