Scholarship Eligibility

  • Prior Qualification:
    • Option 1: A four-year undergraduate degree in engineering or an appropriate discipline with a weighted average mark of at least H3 (65%) average, or equivalent
    • Option 2: A three-year undergraduate degree in an appropriate discipline with a weighted average mark of at least H3 (65%) average, or equivalent, and at least two years documented, relevant work and/or professional experience since graduation
  • Applicants must:
    • Be a citizen of a country other than Australia or New Zealand and not a permanent resident of Australia
    • Have applied for an eligible graduate coursework degree
    • Not be in receipt of any other tuition fee remission scholarship or sponsorship which, in combination with the Melbourne Graduate Scholarship, exceeds 100% of tuition fees
  • Eligible graduate coursework degrees include:
    • Any Master degree by coursework offered by the Melbourne Business School, Melbourne School of Design, and Melbourne School of Engineering
    • Executive Master of Arts, Master of Translation, and Master of International Journalism offered by the Graduate School of Humanities and Social Sciences
    • Graduate Certificate of Public Administration offered by Melbourne School of Government
    • Melbourne Law Masters offered by Melbourne Law School
  • Must satisfy the English language proficiency requirement with one of the following tests:
    • IELTS- Overall 6.5, with no band below 6.0
    • TOEFL- Overall 79, with Writing 21, Speaking 18, Reading 13, Listening 13
    • PTE- Overall 58, inclusive and no communicative skill below 50
