  • a personal statement (300 words). It should contain:
    • an outline of why you want to study at Deakin University
    • an overview of any extracurricular activities and work experience (paid or voluntary) you have undertaken
    • why you think you would make an outstanding ambassador for Deakin University
  • two references who can comment on your community engagement and/or leadership capacity
  • a completed application to study at Deakin including academic transcripts

Scholarship Eligibility

To be eligible, all the below selection criteria must be met:

  • Applicant should be an Indian citizen with a valid Indian Passport
  • Applicant should be residing in India at the time of application
  • Applicant should be applying through any Deakin Authorised agent based in India
  • Applicant should meet the below-mentioned academic eligibility criteria. The applicant must have:
    • more than 80% in the undergraduate degree
    • completed the course within the stipulated time frame with significant achievements in co-curricular activities
    • demonstration of commitment to give back to society, the knowledge and experience
  • IELTS: With no band score less than 6.0
  • PTE: No less than 50 in each skill
  • TOEFL: Minimum 21 in the writing section
  • Applicants may also be asked to attend an interview. Skype / Zoom interview with top 25 to 50 and face-to-face interviews with the top 5 to 10 candidates with an external panel of judges
