Scholarship Overview

The Cork Society of Chartered Accountants has set up The Anthony Reidy Memorial Prize in Accounting which is aimed at remembering Anthony Reidy, a University College Cork alumnus who became a chartered accountant and went on to become a partner at PwC. For two years, 2010 and 2011, he was the Chair of the Chartered Accountants Cork Society. It is with great sadness, however, that he passed away in July 2021.

Scholarship Eligibility

  • Applicants must be a current UCC Student to be eligible for this prize
  • Applicants must have achieved highest overall mark in the third year of the BSc Accounting Degree to receive this award
  • The prize shall be called “The Anthony Reidy Memorial Prize in Accounting”.
  • The prize of €1,000 shall be awarded annually to the student who receives the highest overall mark in the third year of the BSc Accounting Degree.
