ACUPGA Professional Development Grant is offered by the Australian Catholic University to international students. ACUPGA Professional Development Grant is available for students from all countries who want to study Masters Degree in the Australia at the Australian Catholic University. Every year, the university selects 10 candidates from all the received applications and offers them scholarships based on their academic profiles. The maximum scholarship that a student can receive is AUD 350 at Australian Catholic University. The fee needs to be paid in full, the scholarship amount will be given to students once they start their study program.

Appication Process for this scholarship

Application process- Applicants will be required to provide the following as part of the application:

  • A written statement of approximately 200 words outlining what you hope to gain from your chosen activity
  • Evidence of completion (or intent to complete) the chosen activity
  • Budget of expenses relating to your chosen activity, this may include the purchasing of necessary equipment

Additional Information:
ACUPGA Office holders must withdraw from the selection committee to apply.
Students are only eligible to receive an ACUPGA Grant once during their studies at ACU. Recipients are requested to submit a short report of approximately 250 words outlining how the Grant has assisted them.
The report should be submitted to the ACUPGA President no later than 1 month after the professional development opportunity has been undertaken.
Selection process- The recipients will be determined by a selection committee consisting of the ACUPGA President, ACUPGA Vice-President (Coursework) and ACUPGA Vice-President (HDR).

Scholarship Eligibility

The Grant is open to current students who meet all of the following criteria:

  • must be currently enrolled in any postgraduate course
  • Undertaking a professional development activity, for example, training, professional exams, professional body membership, computer skills courses
  • The activity must be undertaken within 6 months (either before or after) of the application closing date

Preference will be given to following candidates:

  • Preference will be given to students who have not received any other ACU scholarship or grant related to the professional development opportunity identified in this application
