Colombo Plan Scholarship in Engineering is offered by the University of Auckland . Colombo Plan Scholarship in Engineering is awarded to Masters Degree students who can demonstrate excellent academic achievement and the potential to contribute to the university community. This Merit Based scholarship will be given one time. The scholarship amount can be used for tuition. The maximum scholarship amount a student can get is NZD 3000. Students will be auto-considered for this scholarship if they apply for the courses on which this scholarship is applicable. In this case, they need not submit a separate application for applying to this scholarship. To qualify for the award, candidates must have completed the Bachelor degree and passed the 12th grade. International students seeing to avail this scholarship need to appear for English proficiency tests like TOEFL, IELTS and PTE.

Scholarship Eligibility

Applicants must meet the below admission requirements:

    • Master of Engineering Management:
      • Hold a four-year bachelor degree in engineering at a recognized university (or similar institution) that includes:
        • The first year of the foundational science topics that underpin engineering disciplines: mathematical modelling, chemical and materials science, electrical engineering theory, mechanics, programming, and engineering design
        • One year of postgraduate-level study
        • A research project or dissertation comprising at least one-quarter of the final year
    • Master of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering:
      • Hold a bachelor degree in engineering in a related field with a GPA of 50 on a 90 scale
    • ELP requirement:
      • TOEFL: 90 with a Writing score of 21
      • IELTS: 65 with 60 or better in all bands
      • PTE: 58 with no communicative skills score below than 50
