Established in 1965, Algoma University offers and cultivates cross-cultural learning between Aboriginal populations and other communities. The well-experienced faculty members are renowned for providing students with ample knowledge and industry experience. There are two intakes at Algoma University, during fall and spring.

Situated in Ontario, Canada, the main campus of Algoma University is located in Sault Ste. Marie. The other two campuses are situated at Timmins and Brampton. There is a Convergence Centre with state-of-the-art classrooms and laboratory space for students and professors. The University also features three residence houses with fully-furnished rooms.

Algoma University offers about nine undergraduate-certificate and graduate-certificate programs. It is famous for one and two years certificates in disciplines such as Anishinaabe Studies, Project Management, Information Technology, Human Management, Computing, Business, Health Science, and Software Development. Algoma University offers over 30 academic programs through 3 faculties - The faculty of Sciences, The Faculty of Social Sciences, and The Faculty of Humanities.
