Computer science can be applied to an almost endless list of fields that cover an increasingly large range of everyday life. As a science of systematic processing, storage, and transmission of digitally represented information, computer science deals with the development of complex, artificial, i.e. manmade, systems. For the main program, students can choose courses from three of the following fields: theoretical computer science, technical computer science, artificial intelligence, applied computer science, system architecture, software, and web engineering. Finally, a diploma thesis is prepared and based on either applied or research-oriented topics.

Eligibility Requirements:

The university entrance qualification is the school leaving certificate in the case of applications for an undergraduate degree program. Admission for studying at TU Dresden for applicants with a foreign university qualification/educational qualification is given in accordance with the assessment guidelines of the Conference of the Ministers of Education and Cultural Affairs of the German Federal States (KMK). Sufficient knowledge of German has to be proven.
