About

Founded in 1838, the University of Westminster is London's first polytechnic institution. Its main campus is the Regent Campus, located in Regent Street in central London. It has the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, including the Westminster Law School. The other two campuses located in Central London are the Marylebone Campus and the Cavendish Campus. 


Marylebone Campus has the Faculty of Architecture and the Built Environment, Westminster Business School, and the Policy Studies Institute. The Cavendish Campus houses Science and Engineering departments. The Harrow Campus, located in a suburb outside of Central London, provides courses in Media, Arts, and Design. The Study of Democracy and The Communication and Media Research Institute (CAMRI) are two of the University of Westminster's 65 departments and centers. Besides, the university also houses a Policy Studies Institute, a Business School, and a Law School.


The University of Westminster is a member of various associations like the Association of Commonwealth Universities, Association of MBAs, EQUIS, EFMD, Universities UK, and European University Association. There are many noteworthy graduates of the university, including a Nobel Laureate in Medicine. Some notable alumni of the university include Vivienne Westwood (Fashion Designer), Christopher Bailey (Burberry’s chief executive officer), Roger Waters (Pink Floyd Co-founder), and more.
