As an actuary they are able to predict the future. Not really, of course. But they do use mathematics and statistics to determine the likelihood of certain events occurring in the future. An economic crisis, for example, or a fire, or a bankruptcy. During the BSc Actuarial Science they learn how to estimate risks, calculate their financial impact, and mitigate them properly. UvA is the only Dutch university offering both a Bachelor’s and a Master’s programme in Actuarial Science.

Eligibility Requirements:

To be eligible for admission into the undergraduate program, applicants must have completed their high school diploma/senior secondary school from an institute accredited by the State or National board of education. Applicants will also be asked to provide supporting documentation as part of their application, including secondary/high school transcripts showing the date of graduation, submission of english proficiency test scores, and other documents. Applicants are required to provide proof of sufficient funds for the course duration.
