Linguistics is the scientific study of human language. Courses explore the principles governing the structure of natural languages, how languages are acquired by children and adults, the role of language in human cognition and social interaction, and how languages change over time. The mission of the program is to provide students with discipline-specific skills and knowledge for transfer to a 4-year college or university. The study of Linguistics develops many skills which are applicable across many diverse career paths. A Linguistics degree provides students with the skills to analyze language in a variety of areas. Students may also transfer into professional programs such as law school, speech pathology, communication sciences, and disorders, or library information sciences.

Eligibility Requirements:

International students seeking admission into the undergraduate program, applicants must have completed their high school diploma/senior secondary school from an institute accredited by the State or National board of education. Applicants will also be asked to provide supporting documentation as part of their application, including secondary/high school transcripts showing the date of graduation, submission of english proficiency test scores, and other documents. Applicants are required to provide proof of sufficient funds for the course duration.
