Founded in 1934, Northwest University is a globally ranked private university located in Kirkland, Washington. It is a regionally accredited Christian institution known for preparing its students to lead their careers by providing a broad spectrum of undergraduate and graduate degree programs. Northwest University has a tradition of academic excellence and commitment to diversity and accessibility. The institute started as a Bible Institute by the Northwest Ministry Network of the Assemblies of God USA, under which it still operates; it was not until 2005 that the university got its current name.

NWU is spread across 56 acres and operates on a semester-based academic calendar. The university accepts applicants with a 93% acceptance rate, and it is ranked 55th among the Regional Universities by U.S. News & World Report. NWU requires students to write the NBT Test before submitting the application and taking other significant tests. NWU is home to around 1910 students, out of which 12% are international students.

The university serves over 70 majors, programs, and off-campus internships to make industry-ready students. NWU offers online classes that offer both - time and space flexibility. Some of the top-rated majors at the university include - Business, Music, Nursing, Psychology, and Biology. It also offers five master’s degree programs in Teaching, Business, Theology, Sociology, and Psychology. The university has a fantastic array of alumni worldwide. Some notable alumni have included David Bazan (indie rock singer-songwriter) and Natalie Diane Grant (Grammy-nominated contemporary Christian singer and songwriter).

The Northwest University School of PA Medicine is located on the Kirkland, Washington campus, just blocks away from beautiful Lake Washington. Students are granted a Master of Science (MS-PAS) degree upon graduation. They are eligible to sit for the Physician Assistant National Certifying Examination (PANCE) offered by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA). Graduates of the NU PA program who are certified by the NCCPA, i.e., pass the PANCE, are eligible to practice within the United States and Canada.

The College of Arts and Sciences of Northwest University offers majors, minors, concentrations, and certificates in the traditional disciplines of the humanities and natural and social sciences. The program offers many advantages, including the option to tailor courses to meet students’ career interests. After completing the core courses, students choose among one of four concentrations for focused study: Dramatic Studies, Human Communication, Media and Society, and Communication for Business. Graduates with a concentration in Media and Society will be able to evaluate mass-media messages in multiple mediums and analyze how media and technological development influence mass communication.
