The University of British Columbia, formerly known as McGill University College of British Columbia, is one of the oldest Universities in British Columbia. The University of British Columbia is in the Canadian province of British Columbia, and has two primary campuses in Vancouver and Kelowna, respectively. The University of British Columbia has a community engagement initiative based in Vancouver's Downtown Eastside. The campuses are equipped with modern sports centers and facilities like The Centre for Interactive Research in Sustainability, the Museum of Anthropology and Botanical Garden, and the Centre for plant research. The university's Centre for Digital Media at the Great Northern Way Campus is located in Mount Pleasant. 

 

UBC provides clinical education to The Faculty of Medicine students and has 80+ training sites. The University of British Columbia has an extraordinary alumni network of 8 Nobel Prize winners, 3 Canadian Prime Ministers,65 Olympic medals won by varsity athletes, including 19 gold medalists, 71 Rhodes Scholars and 273 Royal Society of Canada fellows.
