Established in 1924, Duke University is highly ranked among the top universities in the United States. Its mission is to 'provide real leadership in the education world.' The university has produced the third-highest number of Churchill Scholars of any global university and the fifth-highest number of Marshall, Rhodes, Truman, Goldwater, and Udall Scholars of any American university. Its alumni also include 25 Churchill Scholars, 50 Rhodes Scholars, 13 Schwarzman Scholars, and 8 Mitchell Scholars.

Situated in Durham, North Carolina, Duke University offers PhDs and master’s programs in over 80 departments and programs of study. While there are a lot of pieces that go into a college application, you should focus on only a few critical things. The acceptance rate at Duke is 9%, Which means the school is extremely selective.

GPA - The average GPA at Duke is 4.13. With a GPA of 4.13, Duke requires you to be at the top of your class. You'll need nearly straight A's in all your classes to compete with other applicants.

SAT - The average SAT score composite at Duke is 1500 on the 1600 SAT scale.

ACT - The average ACT score at Duke is 34.

It takes more than good numbers to be accepted at Duke. The admissions committee is looking for applicants that have done something extraordinary outside the classroom.
