Northwestern University

Northwestern University is a private and nationally accredited institution in the United States. The university started in 1851 when Northwestern Institute, a Baptist school, was founded. Since then, it has emerged as a leading private university with a firm interdisciplinary culture and a commitment to excellence. The university offers students with designed academic programs, structured to develop the potential for career progression into the highest levels of professions.  Northwest University’s motto is taken from the New Testament and read, in Latin and Greek, “Whatsoever things are true” and “The world is full of grace and truth”.

Northwestern University has two campuses located along the shores of Lake Michigan - the 240-acre main campus in Evanston and a 25-acre campus in Chicago. The third campus is located in Doha, Qatar. The university has over 8000 full-time undergraduate students and more than 13000 graduate and professional students. Northwestern University offers 300 programs in the liberal arts, business, healthcare sciences, and teaching. It has an acceptance rate of 9%, and it welcomes students from over 75 countries across the globe.

Northwestern is home to twelve colleges and schools and is globally renowned for its Medill School of Journalism, Bienen School of Music, and Kellogg School of Management. With over 90 school-based and more than 50 university research centers, Northwestern is one of the most glorious research universities in the United States.  The most notable alumni of the university include David Schwimmer (Hollywood Actor), Saul Bellow (Nobel Prize in Literature, 1976), George Stigler (Nobel Prize in Economics, 1982), and Ralph Bunche (Nobel Peace Prize, 1950).
