The University of Washington's main campus, located on the coastlines of Union and Portage Bays, is located in Seattle. The site is 703 acres in size (2.84 km2). The north campus is directly north of Red Square and the south campus between Pacific Street and the Lake Washington Ship Canal. The east campus stretches east of Montlake Boulevard to Laurelhurst, and the west campus is located on city streets.
