University College Cork at Ireland offers sports scholarships to talented dual career athletes to guide them to development of their studies and schooling. The UCC Sport Scholarship programme pursuits to guide athletes to reap their complete potential and is split into two major strands UCC Team Sport Scholarships and UCC Individual Sport Scholarship.
The UCC Sports Scholarship programme aims to assist the pupil in the development of their wearing career by means of providing a bursary and excellent help in the regions of coaching, schooling, electricity and conditioning advice, sports clinical, sports activities body structure, educational and lifestyles-talents help, while additionally completing their chosen direction of examine.

Appication Process for this scholarship

To apply for a UCC Sports Scholarship applicants must:

  • Be either a full time registered UCC student or applicant for a programme at University College Cork in 2022/23 (Note: applicants also need to make their degree programme application separately, eg through the CAO or through the International Office for Non-EU applicants)
  • Read the UCC Sport Scholarship Terms and Conditions
  • Complete the UCC Sport Scholarship Application Form online using the relevant ‘Apply here’ option

Scholarship Eligibility

  • All applicants must satisfy the normal entry requirement of the University and have been offered a place on a degree or postgraduate course at the university Applicants should apply for such course through the CAO in the normal way Existing students are also eligible to apply
  • Applicants must be pursuing a full time university course
  • Applicants must demonstrate outstanding ability in their chosen sport and demonstrate an ability to compete at National or International level (inter county level for GAA Applicants)
  • The sport has to be recognised by Sport Ireland
