Scholarship Overview

This advanced course will help you to develop the versatility and depth to deal with complex challenges in fluid or solid engineering faced by senior engineers. It will provide you with the advanced knowledge and understanding to apply your scientific skills to solve problems and design machines that help us enjoy a better lifestyle.

Appication Process for this scholarship

• Students can apply for any of the postgraduate courses at any time of the year – for entry this year or next year
• All alumni of the University of Bradford, regardless of when they have graduated, will receive a discount on their tuition fees dependent on the result achieved
• The discount is available for:
  • Self-funded students only
  • All students progressing onto a Master’s or a PhD program from an undergraduate degree
  • Students progressing from a taught Master’s onto a PhD program
  • Alumni wishing to study a second undergraduate or postgraduate degree (full Master’s or PhD only)
  • Students who have studied here as part of an exchange, eg, Erasmus
  • Students who have completed an undergraduate program at one of our partner institutions and then wish to continue their studies at postgraduate level here at Bradford; or students studying a premium fee program by distance learning
• Please note that students can only receive one scholarship or discount, so students who are eligible for more than 1 award will be given the award of the highest value

Scholarship Eligibility

• Applicant must have completed an undergraduate programme from University campus or at one of the partner institutions regardless of when they have graduated
• Applicant must be self-funded
• Requirement:
  • MSc Advanced Chem & Petroleum Engg: 22 equivalent bachelors degree in Chemical Engineering or Petroleum Engineering
  • MSc Advanced Mechanical Engineering & Advanced Civil and Structural Engineering MSc:
    • A second-class Honours degree or equivalent in relevant discipline
    • Candidates who do not fulfill the normal entry requirements but have extensive industrial experience in a related area are considered on an individual basis
    • Applications from candidates with Physics, Mathematics and Computer Science degrees with relevant background in maths and physics are welcomed
    • Candidates who do not fulfill the normal entry requirements but have extensive industrial experience in a related area will be considered on an individual basis
  • Advanced Biomedical Engineering MSc:
    • You must have a first degree in relevant discipline; normally at least a Second-class Honours degree or equivalent in Science, Engineering, or Technology
    • Candidates who do not fulfill the normal entry requirements but have extensive engineering, clinical, biomedical, or related experience will be considered on an individual basis
• IELTS: 60 With at least 55 in each of the four sub-tests
• PTE: 55, With no sub-test less than 51
