  • Copy of an offer letter to the University of Auckland
  • Academic documentation – both academic transcripts and degree certificates
  • Certificate of Employment for the duration of employment issued by the company
  • Certificate of Income issued by the company
  • Certificate of Family Income issued by the company. Must be either parent’s or spouse’s annual/monthly income
  • Copy of the Passport
  • International English proficiency test results e.g. IELTS or TOEFL. Test results must be no more than 24 months old
  • A recent passport photograph
  • A curriculum vitae – a brief and current history of your education, and job skills and experiences
  • Two references (no more than 24 months old) on official letterhead, supporting the application to study in New Zealand
  • These must be relevant to the scholarship you are applying for and your nominated program of study. If applicable, provide one reference from your current employer, one from a relevant government organization, and one from a former lecturer or school principal (for undergraduate applicants)
  • If you have a research component in your program, a statement of 500 words (maximum) outlining your proposed research topic, including the research question and objectives, proposed methodology, timeline, and justification for home-located research is required
  • The statement should also identify the significance and possible application of the proposed research topic to your home country

Scholarship Eligibility

Applicants must

  • Have gained admission to an approved master’s at an approved academic institution
  • Have a bachelors degree or its equivalent with a superior academic record
  • Have at least two years of full-time professional work experience (acquired after a university degree) at the time of application
  • Be proficient in oral and written English communication skills to be able to pursue studies

Academic requirement:

  • Must have completed one year of postgraduate study in public health at a recognized university (or similar institution) following an undergraduate degree, with a GPE of 50
  • English language proficiency:
    • TOEFL: 90 with a written score of 21
    • IELTS: 65 with no section score below 60
    • PTE: 58 with no communicative skills score below 50

Scholarship Restriction:

  • Must return to home country after course completion
  • Upon completion of their study programs, scholars are expected to contribute to the economic and social development of their home countries
