  • All outstanding international students will receive a scholarship of £3,000
  • Half of the scholarship amount will be awarded in the form of a reduction in tuition fees and the remaining half as a contribution towards the cost of University-managed accommodation
  • Students not taking up a place in university-managed accommodation will forfeit 50% of the scholarship (except in exceptional circumstances where university accommodation would not be a suitable option)
  • If the applicant is an international Bangor alumni or a member of their immediate family(spouse/siblings/children/grandchildren), who is also an international student, then they will receive an additional £1,000 discount off their tuition fees, per year of study

Appication Process for this scholarship

The type of documents required include:

  • Letter Of Recommendation from the applicant’s nominated referee
  • Recent graduates should provide an academic reference
  • Certified copies of all further/higher education academic certificates
  • Letter confirming financial support (for sponsored candidates only)
  • Scanned copy of the passport
  • Personal Statement of no more than 200 words – Explain why applicants are applying for their chosen program of study
  • CV is not mandatory

Students will be auto-considered for this scholarship when they apply for the courses on which this scholarship is applicable. No separate application is needed.

Scholarship Deadline:

No specific deadline is available. Applicants are advised to send their application form by the end of June (for September intake) or the end of October (for January intake).

Applicants must hold an undergraduate 2nd Class division or equivalent in relevant disciplines and an equivalent professional qualification. A number of criteria will be taken into account when awarding this scholarship including Course Choice, Academic Performance, Personal Statement, Academic References, Skills and Experience, Domicile. The scholarship will be awarded entirely at the University’s discretion and is not guaranteed to each student.
