  • Max scholarship per student: EUR 5,000 => Rs 4,47,660
  • Conversion rate used: 1 EUR = Rs. 89.53
  • Scholarship amount will be given: One Time
  • The scholarship consists of a one-time payment of EUR 5,000. Selected students will receive this in the first year of studies in November.
  • The NL Scholarship cannot be used to reduce the tuition fee. However, a grant letter stating the amount of the scholarship can be used to reduce the total amount of the financial guarantee.

Appication Process for this scholarship

 

  • Application for the NL Scholarship (formerly Holland Scholarship) is open from 1 March up to and including 30 April 2025.
  • If you wish to be eligible for the scholarship, you first have to be admitted to the programme itself. For information on how to get enrolled please see Application and enrolment
  • Admitted students will receive an invitation to apply for the scholarship and a link to Hanze’s NL Scholarship application form from the programme’s admissions officer.
  • You will be informed about the result of selection on 11 June 2025 at the latest. 
  • Further practical information concerning acceptance of the scholarship, procedure and payment will be sent to you after selection.

Scholarship Eligibility

 

  • Your nationality is non-EEA.
  • You are admitted to one of the full-time Master programmes, starting September 2025.
  • You do not have a degree from an educational institution in the Netherlands.
  • You have to study at Hanze UAS and actively participate in classes and all projects in the Netherlands.
  • The grant is awarded in the first year and can only be received once.

Entry requirements for the European Master of Science in Renewable Energy include:

  • Having a BSc. of Science degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Chemical Engineering, Mathematics, or Physics.
  • Applicants need to have a strong interest in the energy industry.
  • The criteria may be waived for applicants with relevant work experience deemed equivalent to the academic admission requirements.
  • Applicants are expected to present an authentic and convincing motivation letter.
  • English Language proficiency must be approved by submitting a test score (not older than 2 years)
