The Scholarship was established to support high achieving commencing international students enrolling in an undergraduate program at UTS in Sydney.

Scholarship amount details

  • The total amount includes the tuition fee for 1st year of the Bachelor’s programme, which will be given to the student for the normal duration of their program (up to 3 years for Bachelor of Business and one additional year for the Honours year)
  • UTS will pay each Recipient the UTS tuition fees for the approved Bachelor degree course for the duration of the Scholarship
  • The duration of the Scholarship is the standard number of sessions required for completion of the Recipient’s enrolled undergraduate course on the basis of a full-time study load, as specified in the letter of offer for admission to the course
  • The maximum duration of the Scholarship is eight sessions under any program
  • The payment will be made directly to the recipient’s UTS fees account each teaching session for the duration of the Scholarship
  • Payments are subject to the Recipient satisfying ongoing eligibility criteria as defined in ‘Additional Info’ section of the page
  • Conversion rate used: 1 AUD = Rs. 54.76 (last updated 7th December 2023)

Appication Process for this scholarship

  • Official transcripts will be required
  • Applications of eligible candidates will be presented to a Scholarships Selection Committee, which will undertake the selection of Recipients, usually in May/June and October/November each year
  • The Scholarships Committee will be made up of at least three relevant members of the UTS community and will be chaired by the Director, UTS International (or nominee)
  • The Scholarship will be awarded to the highest ranked applicant on the basis of academic merit in the academic qualification used as a basis for admission into the selected UTS Bachelor degree program coupled with the applicant’s response to the questions asked in the UTS online scholarship application
  • To be eligible for the Scholarship, an applicant must:
    • be an international student (not an Australian citizen, New Zealand citizen, or permanent resident of Australia); and
    • meet all admission requirements for the selected course by the closing date of the scholarship application; and
    • commence full-time studies on campus (Sydney)1 ; and
    • have completed an Australian Year 12 or high school studies comparable to an Australian Year 12 outside of Australia no longer than three (3) years prior to commencing at UTS and be admitted based on this qualification to UTS; and
    • have an overall average of 85% where the pass mark is 50% or equivalent in a UTS recognized high school qualification; and
    • all applicants must apply using the UTS online Scholarships Application form to be eligible

  • To be eligible for the Scholarship, an applicant must:
    • be an international student (not an Australian citizen, New Zealand citizen or permanent resident of Australia); and
    • meet all admission requirements for the selected course by the closing date of the scholarship application; and
    • commence full-time studies on campus (Sydney)
